Welcome!
My name is Carrie Johnsen, and I am a DONA International certified birth doula serving women throughout the greater Charlotte, North Carolina area.
My philosophy
I believe pregnancy and birth are the greatest miracles of life and it would be my honor to support a woman and her partner, emotionally and physically during labor. My goal is to assist women and their families in having the birth experience they desire.
I believe each woman’s labor is unique (whether it’s your first or your fifth!) and deserves to be treated that way. As a doula, my role is not to convince, sway, or judge, but to assist in educating moms and their partners so they can make a decision that is right for them.
I love having the opportunity to get to know my clients before labor, to offer my complete support during labor, and to have a chance to enhance their experience after the birth of the baby. A baby’s birthing story is one that the parent/s will tell for years to come. I hope I can help make it a wonderful one!
