Before you were conceived, I wanted you. Before you were born, I loved you. Before you were an hour, I would die for you. This is the miracle of life. —Maureen Hawkins

About Carrie

I am a DONA-certified birth doula serving the greater Charlotte, North Carolina area.

I have been happily married to a wonderful and supportive man for eight years. We have three beautiful daughters who have brought tremendous joy and love to our lives. I have five years experience in the healthcare arena and work extremely well with physicians and nurses. These skills come in very handy as I assist in advocating for my clients!

After seriously considering nursing school to become a labor and delivery nurse, a friend recommended I become a doula. Not knowing much about doulas, I immediately researched the topic and have never looked back. Nor have I stopped reading and learning as much as I can about childbirth and supporting laboring women! What I realized during my initial research is that being a doula is actually what I really want to do (much more so than nursing) as it allows me to be hands-on with mothers in a non-medical but very emotionally, and physically, supportive way. I truly love what I do and feel so honored to attend births.

Please contact me at any time if you have questions about me or the services I can offer you.
